I loved my XD in 45 and would still have it but I am a STRONG 1911 fan and got a deal on a S&W performance ctr. 1911 round butt and that is my EDC now.

I thought long and hard over this a couple years back, and then decided to go with the 6.5 CM. built mine and it came in at 8.4 lbs with out scope. I have a 18in BSF carbon wrapped barrel that is a 1/2 MOA all day. took it out this weekend deer hunting and got a deer at 153 paces running with one shot. dropped it in its tracks with a 143 ELDX. cannot say enough about my 6.5 CM. yes it has less recoil, yes ammo is getting more available, and stays super sonic at longer ranges. the 308 is a great round and has been around for a long time. you cannot go wrong with either round, just have fun

saw a memorial day sale at SWFA on ammo, 10% off and free shipping on orders over $99.00 with the code SHIP99, so I placed an order that totaled $156.00 and after I checked out the receipt added $9.99 for shipping. I sent them an email with the order # and total, and asked them WHAT GIVES????? has anyone had difficulties with this company???? I will wait till tomorrow afternoon to see if they respond to my email before I go off on a real tangent and will let you all know what happens. just had to vent a little and ask if anyone else had any bad experiences with this company????? thanks Gary

got a new BSF 18in barrel coming in 6.5 CM, should arrive Monday the 5th before 8pm according to the tracking number. won't be in time for deer season to much going on right now but will get it installed before Dec 25th, Merry Christmas to me.

I am in need of a deer hide tanned in LIGHT Tan color for my grand daughters pedal plane that I am building. I thought I had enough but my hide I have is to small, used most of it for the last plane for the first grand daughter. if any one has a TAN color deer hide that would not mind parting with it please msg me and maybe we can work something out.
