So I didn't ask a ton of questions for this build, but I spent hours searching this forum and silently gaining knowledge from all of you. I'm really happy (pre range trip) with the build and hope to be even more so once some rounds get put through her. She isn't the most high tech, she isn't the lightest thing, but she's mine and I plan to work her. Thank you all for you help. Lol same thing happened to me, took a picture of my id with the phone and was approved in 10 minutes. So far i really like these guys, shipping time will be the final test.

For those that may have been curious the 308 NiB BCG is really nice. Headspaced great and looks nice in an M5 matched set.

I've looked at all the reasons not to i was just curious if anyone did. I talked a little with him and his big steel reloads are 762x54R. I believe he said pistol magnum primers fit for him.

Not trying to stir the proverbial pot here, but does/has anyone ever loaded steel? I have one of those stereotypical old guys at the range i use that swears as he's picking up my spent steel that it loads just fine and anyone who says otherwise is playing right into "The Man's" hands. Anyone have any experience? I'm also aware this flags me for being a steel shooter, but in my defense i haven't put any steel through my 308 yet,all 556.

Has there been any discussion in the direction of not doing business with those that use these opportunities to gouge us at the register? I personally have stopped buying from quite a few online and local shops that seemed all to happy to "raise the rent".

So I'm stupid. The spring and detent just went in differently than what i was used to, is all good. Headspace getting checked by the gunsmith tomorrow then i just need the buttstock and Effin A MKII comp to show up in the mail and she's done.......for now.

FYI the areas i hunt are off base BLM. Nothing needed but a hunting license.

Build starts tonight. Looked real quick but the pivot pin looks like it mounts a little odd. Anything i should know?

In a preemptive strike against "the rule" I've already purchased one. Just curious what experience if any someone around here may have had with them. Online reviews all seem to be stellar, looking forward to finding out if the hype is real.

Sorry for the late response. I'm not down there anymore so o won't be able available for a trip but i can absolutely guide someone in. We used calls, distressed rabbit to be specific. At night all the yotes come down from the desert into town to eat trash and people's little pets, my hunting partner and i found the route they take in the morning to go back. It's almost too easy sometimes. I popped one with a 7mm one time, pulled the phone out sent a text looked up and shot another that was chewing on the first one.

I've got one of the MVP's in 556. Fluted bull barrel, fluted bolt, really good feeling gun. The only complaint I've heard (not my complaint) is that bolt is sloppy. Needs to be though to feed the all the different kinda of AR mags. I like it a lot.

Anyone venturing through 29 palms I've got a killer yote area for you. Shorts and sneakers no camo needed pulling 5 or 6 in an hour or so

All rifle ammo will penetrate level 2. Just a matter of time before they realize 223 can be loaded into those guns and fired add well.
