Right now @ 7:08 PM I'm looking south towards Ellington and I can see a blue sky with the sun trying to recover. Mostly very little rain now.
From the map you posted it looks like 146 may be full drained for access by Thursday.
I highly suggest TDCJ gets a special ops unit there for an evacuation. Isn't that facility a medical facility for like surgeries, birth delivery, etc.,?
I can only imagine. A lot of the dump trucks are being utilized here now just to transport folks out of the flooded areas. Simply not enough high water vehicles.
Yes, I would complain about getting hung with a new rope. If this grand event ever happens I want the chair. Knowing my last event in life would be to run up the damn electrical bill would make me happier than a monkey in a coconut tree.
I'm in the DP school district but in Pasadena. So far my house has remained dry (but it's been close). If your family in this area needs assistance please let me know and where they're at so I can get to them. I have a Ford Ranger pickup only but I can at least load folks in the back bed if necessary.
I will take a short ride later to see how are residential streets are. We've just been told that anything east of I-45 will get another 5" - 10" of rain some time tonight but afterwards it should be the worst part done.
Tell your family to look and listen for cloud movement and funky wind noises. We're about to have warm air and cooler air colliding again so we're not out of the danger zone for twisters.
OK thanks. That's the area I was concerned about needing help the most, between Hwy. 3 and Hwy. 146, as I think Dickinson appears to be fully submerged.
OK thanks on the road update. As soon as I can get out of the neighborhood here I was going to try to volunteer somewhere if I don't have to drive my wife to work later this week. If you go back to work and you're able to freely drive 146 please advise.
Obviously they didn't make Y'all evacuate that facility. That's good to hear.
Glad to hear your family is safe. Holler at us here if you need anything. I'm not that far from you. If you can give me an update on 146 and possibly Hwy. 3 at some point it will be appreciated.
Glad they got you some good ammo finally. That other lot was dangerous. Crazy.
I still don't like Midway's attitude through it all. I don't need to support folks like that.
I put my wife in the same vehicle. Keeps her up a bit higher off the ground.
I'm very familiar with the TDCJ facility in Texas City. Before I retired I laid a few detainers on some that went through there on occasion. That is a low area so be careful when you drive home.
