  1. Reviving a old thread but the OP originally asked about uppers for his PSA lower. Other than PSA uppers the only other should fit is the Aero product. The PSA is made in the DPMS model but, the centerline of the barrel/buffer is .043 lower than a DPMS or an Armalite for that matter. The standard dimension for both the AR10 and the DPMS is .762 from the datum/deck surface to the centerline of the barrel. The PSA is an actual measured .719 on one I have here. This throws everything off that counts on having the full mil-spec vertical distance in there like some of the triggers. I didn't actually check out the measurements but I'd think the bolt lock and perhaps even the mag latch heights may be different as well. I'll do some more measuring when I can.
  2. shibiwan, well........ that didn't take me long! I usually wait and stick my foot in it! Feeling kinda dumb but you're absolutely right. I went back and checked and it is KG systems "Gunkote"! I guess there's too many "Kotes" for me. Sorry about my mix up, didn't mean to confuse the issue!
  3. What mix? It's sprayed as is.
  4. 98... you're reaffirming what I've heard about the Aero and PSA receivers being the same, at least dimensionally. My PSA lower uses a AR15 buffer-tube with a 308 buffer and weight IIRC I know the take-down pin is all PSA........ AR15 width, 308 diameter Guess I really need to sit down and document the PSA/Aero lower differences as compared to the DPMS and AR-308 drawings.
  5. Just got done with a lower I did in the oven cure Cerakote. I didn't realize there was another type that didn't require oven cure, this is good to know (thanks 98), me thinks I'll try it next time. The only bitch I have about the oven-cure is the flat black I'm using is at best only slightly less than glossy. Anyone know if the air cured black is a real, flat, black?
  6. So..... just for those that want to know just how expensive is something like Lifelock?
  7. Search engine is my friend..... after none of my email was acceptable on another SAR site I did a search specifically for 308 forums, which I'm mostly interested in so here I am...... just started playing with a PSA PA308 btw pretty well made but has a few problems.
  8. just wondering aloud I guess but I wonder if they also make the 18" 308 barrels for Palmetto State? If they do I'd consider them very accurate for a general/non-match barrel.
