  1. Gentlemen (and ladies), I have an Army Marksmanship Unit National Match Armalite AR-10A4BNMF, new and unfired, that I wish to sell. I am only selling it because I have two of them and can only shoot one at a time. I bought this AR-10 from Bud's and received it on March 27, 2012. It comes with: • Two 20 Round Magazines. • Black Plano Case. • Owners Manual. • AR10 National Match Carry Handle. • AR10 National Match Front Sight. • USMC Quick Adjust Sling. • Sling Swivel Mount. • Orange Chamber Indicator. List price at the time was $2365.00 and I paid $2130.00 not including shipping. I bought it for one of my girls to shoot, but she ran off and married some dork right after I got it. These are great rifles, superbly accurate (we routinely get < 1 MOA with factory ammo) and were never easy to find. I watched Buds for a couple of months before they finally got a shipment of two when I bought this one. They are currently "Out Of Stock" at Armalite, and have been for the last two years. I find none available on the internet, and I doubt that they will go back into production. I'm asking $1900.00 plus actual UPS shipping from my dealer to yours. Personal check, CC or MO is fine. CC and MO ship next business day, personal checks are held 10 days or until you send me a jpg of the cleared check. PM me for more info or other pics. 2. I found this on the FAL forum, and it jives with my memory of that time:
  3. That would be the cat's meow, but it wouldn't work with the removable carry handle. I think I remember (Westrom's) Armalite making some AR-10s with the charging handle on top right after they started the business, but maybe it was just a picture on their website.
  4. I really like the look of the RPR, and the specs look good too, but if I were interested in another .308 it would be an FN-249S (strictly for the collector value you understand :-). Fact is that I want to add a bolt gun, but I've got my heart set on something in .338 Lapua. The Sako TRG-42 would fill the bill, but the price is well north of $3K.
  5. Thanks guys! I see some familiar names. :-)
  6. Ouch! I like skimpy clothes and jiggling female fat as much as anyone, but I don't need to be hit over the head with it. Those girls look like they walked straight off the lot at the talent agency. And eye pro, people. Eye pro!
  7. Hey folks. A friend of mine told me about this forum and I decided to join up. I own three Armalite AR-10s, and purely love the things. I'm a long time believer in "form follows function", and I appreciate that they are pretty much impervious to dirt and weather. I grew up hunting in the "wood and blue" era, and didn't care much for having to break the gun completely down to clean up after a wet hunt. But the thing that really killed it for me was when I took a deer on my 18th birthday and somehow managed to get blood on my pristine Winchester M70. Blood removes blueing better than nitric acid! So when I got a chance to pick up a brand new HK-91 during their intro sale ($399.00 shipped) I jumped on it, and carried the 91 on every hunt from 1985 on. In 2011 I had to get my boy a deer rifle, and thought it would be a good idea for us to be able to share accessories and mags, but HK-91s were all in the high $2K range, so I got him an Armalite AR-10A4BF and a Bushnell Elite 6400 scope. Then we're off to the range, and the damned thing shoots circles around my HK! His AR is making 1.0 MOA at 100 yds, and the HK is shooting more like 2-2.5! And then there's the crappy HK trigger. I tried everything to tighten up the groups, but in the end nothing helped. So I sold the silly thing and got an AR-10BNMF. Field weight is about 12 1/2 lbs, but it will shoot sub MOA groups all day.
