  1. Yeah, I saw that too. I'm not terribly confident an SLR would fit underneath when on a .936" BA barrel.
  2. Cool! Thanks. That's the 308 rail, right? I assume LFA is using the same rails? Did you ever try an adjustable gb? Also, what size barrel is that? The BA barrels on the LFA precision builds are .936 at the GB. Thanks so much!
  3. I did email Chris, but haven't heard back. The complaint was one guy on SH who mainly had issues with the rail and barrel nut, and another guy on Arfcom who's issue was the rail being so thin on his 6.5 build, that JP low profile adjustable gas "wasn't even close" to fitting. He said LFA sent him the "thinnest gas block" he's ever seen, and that barely fit. Receivers are good to go though. I was looking into buying a complete rifle, more out of convenience.
  4. Quick question. I'm looking at the possibility of getting a LFA 22"Creedmoor rifle. However, I was wondering if there's enough room between the heavy BA barrel and the inside of the rail for a SLR or Syrac adjustable gas block? I've seen comments online claiming that there's very little room, perhaps not enough, for the adjustable gas. Thanks.
  5. cool. So would LFA questions most likely be OK to post in the Matrix section?
  6. Anyone know anything about them? Their offerings look pretty nice. Certainly affordable. I just don't know anything about them other than their connection to Matrix. I've seen others express concern/complain about thin barrel nuts and not a lot of clearance for the gb in their handguards? Anyone with first hand experience?
  7. I'm pretty sure Mega makes the Ranier sets.
  8. LOL..I'm quoting you on that. Anywho, I emailed them and asked. They use ER Shaw barrels...at least for their 6.5 CM.
  9. I also recall reading a comment on SH, that another big reason semi's are used as often in PRS matches is that it's a (relative) PITA and takes valuable time to lock the action open to transition between stations.
  10. You like them? Any downsides to them?
  11. To tag on here....how about makers like Quentin Defense and S&S Armory? CMT? Also, is a FA considered necessary for a "big" AR or not?
  12. Mainly as a casual precision rifle. I don't do PRS matches or anything, I just like the idea of an accurate semi.
  13. Done. Now, any input? Trying to build on a budget....
  14. Just thought I'd register here. Been on just about all the other interweb gun boards, and found this while searching for AR10 info. I'm contemplating on building an AR in 6.5 in lieu of buying a bolt gun.
  15. OK, So I've been toying with the idea of building up an AR in 6.5 CM. Now, from all I've read, it seems like Mega is where it's at as far as receivers. But....I want to build on a budget. I can't seem to find any Aero sets readily available, but have any of you used S&S Armory receivers? I've seen them on GB, but I don't know anything about them. Also, are things like FA more "necessary" on a large frame AR than on an AR15? What are some "non-Mega" receivers you recommend? Thanks
