So two updates, I talked to next level about their bcg compatibility this morning. Both gentlemen I talk to run their own components obviously and the both run the silent captured spring with zero issues. Dave said if I were to ever have issues, to make sure and contact them so they can help correct any problems as well. So far, very helpful and appreciative gentleman that should be considered by all for their components. The second update is ground zero, their customer service is still great, if the bcg isn't in by next Monday they will ship the rest of my order so the bcg isn't holding up the build.

Hahahaha, yessir. It's driving me crazy too. my handguard just shipped today so when I pull the trigger on the barrel, it will be nearly complete
-
Hahahaha, yeah that's understandable. They're good people, friendly, and helpful.... I'm happy with them and the parts they sell. I just kinda wish I'd have known ahead of time so I could spread out the order and pay for two shipments.....in stock/back order. I'll call next week and see if I can pay two shipping charges to have them send the parts I want now.

Okay ladies and gents, for future reference......if you ever consider ordering any parts from ground zero precision, I recommend calling before placing the order to make sure they actually have the parts in stock like they say. It's not a dig on quality or customer service by any means, just a failure to keep their inventory updated on their website. I 100% believe this is due to the spike in demand with the changing laws because most manufacturers are struggling to keep up. I'm just an under promise/over deliver person and have been less than thrilled with them on both orders I've placed so far. Either way, heads up, call before you order.

Thanks brother man, my next order is going to include the proof barrel. I have to make sure my other orders arrive first and they're supposed to ship this week. Shot show had things pretty tied up last week.

Jj109, I'm getting that stock for sure. It looks great and I've heard/read great things about it. If I end up not liking it, I can find someone who will too. Thanks for the compliments as well

That's a good video, thanks for posting that. I'm not actually concerned about the extra few bucks but hopefully you'll save someone money that will be concerned. It's just one of those parts that as long as it's equally functional, I can accept a slightly higher price tag for a better looking product.

Hahahaha, vicious indeed, one of those things where it's best the kids learn that life lesson on their own.
-
Thanks, yesterday was quite the day.

Hahahaha, I'm like a kid in a candy store right now. Better yet, my nine year old just got his first win in wrestling ever! Proud rifle building papa!
-
That makes sense, if it doesn't work, I'll already have a head start with my next build then
-
Oh okay, I get what you're saying. I have the nlx 308 bcg on the way in the coming days already. Maybe I will give the gentleman a call on Monday to have a chat with him about it before it ships. That way any issues can be resolved. The only reason I didn't go with their bcg in the first place was because they have either the lmos, vmos, and fmos. None of the three are either standard weight or reasonably priced. If I had to use one, it would be the lmos. Hopefully there won't be any problems though. Thank you for bringing it to my attention and I'll definitely let you know what I learn. Chuck

I'm only using their buffer, I hope you're not suggesting that their buffer doesn't work with anyone else's parts. That seems like a poor business model.....our parts are great.....so great that they don't actually work.....unless you buy more parts from us.....I promise they'll work if you do....promise.... Kidding aside, I've heard nothing but rave reviews about it and I'm totally past the point of no return so I guess I'll have to cross my fingers.
-
Buffer and mag release are in..... The button flips over so I can put on the extended release when it gets in. I assume that's standard.

Blue, I feel like you're right. You'd have to decide if it falls under the "accurate enough" category. Maybe for a three gun build or something.
-
Ha. I'll take notes on who donates the most and if I don't like it, I'll give it to them. You guys don't have enough faith in optics manufacturers ability to reinvent the wheel. Maybe they'll make one that is a 12x with a 50mm objective lens and turrets.
-
Oh man, I like that rule. My next thread will be a go fund me account to buy it..... Maybe one of those "I'm not looking for handouts but any handouts would be appreciated because I've had a really hard life as a veteran and you should feel sorry" kinda things. Does that work around here?

Uh oh, land mine? I'm just curious what people thought about it. I'm not putting it on a rifle of mine, just interested in the idea.
-
Right, gut reaction is the same here. But after enough thought, it really isn't entirely different than having a magnifier flipped to the side. Except that this one doesn't have to be flipped back up for use. That was the only reason for ditching my magnifier/eotech setup for the acog/red dot on my dmr rifle. The slow transition made me feel like a sitting duck in my first firefight with the eotech prompting the changes. The acog transition time was much more comforting and the idea just stuck in my head. That's what makes it seem so interesting

Anyone ever seen/used these optics? I'm obviously interested in it as an option for a fixed power but I'm more just curious at this point if anyone has any concrete yay or nay experience. Also, what do you smart people think about the design and reticle. It's apparently dependent on the bdc with no turrets and it has an offset reticle to compensate for the parascope design. All things considered, how do you guys think it will perform at 500-700 yd ranges? Max of 500 hunting I imagine though. The idea is stellar, no extra movement or effort to adjust from a 1x-6x. Anyway, just thought I'd see if there's any experience with it yet. Have a great day. Chuck

I'm a fan, I've always had great experiences with boxers.
