  1. I installed the MBT into my Pa10 yesterday. At first it wouldn't reset on it's own. Took it apart, lubed it, and went back together and DAYYUUUUMMM. Awesome trigger! Best 95 bucks spent in a while.
  2. Good Ol Al. I miss those days.
  3. Looks awesome!
  4. Just spatchcock-ed and injected that bastard. Gonna Rectec it in the am. Got some hickory for it. I'll let y'all know how it goes.
  5. Hey man, some people like hairy titty moles. Different strokes for different folks. Guess you don't want to shoot it now.... I need one of those. Might try make my own.
  6. I'm happy with it Still need more parts top finish it though.
  7. My wife said it looks like chicken wire......
  8. need lighter tape...
  9. So Fuqin CLOSE!
  10. That sounds very specific. I'm willing to bet you've done this before. LOL LMAO!
  11. Thanks for the suggestions fellas! Y'all have definitely swayed me to a different price bracket. I've nixed the cheaper Vortex and it's between the VX-3i and the AR mod1. Don't really think I'll use the graduated turrets on the AR. Longest shot will likely be 100yds for this rifle. Like someone else said, don't complicate shttt with complicated shttt. Can't find where it list how much weight the fire dot would add... I like the slightly higher magnification on the vx3i. Also the one piece main tube is something i wanted. The mount will be an Aero P ultralight. So total weight for optics will be around 12oz. Not too bad.
  12. New contender. 9.2oz https://www.leupold.com/scopes/compact-scopes/vx-3i-1-5-5x20mm
  13. Might have a winner. 6.5 oz https://www.leupold.com/scopes/rimfire-scopes/fx-ii-ultralight-2-5x20mm
  14. LMAO! That's a spot on analogy. Sound advice though. I'd hate to throw a cheapazz 4x on there. It wouldn't do the rifle it's true justice.
  15. The ones I've looked at are relatively heavy as well. Which one do you recommend Rob?
  16. Xanthos upper/lower...check Faxon pencil...check Carbon fiber HG...check Minimalist stock...check Over a pound of optics.....wait what!? See where I'm going with this? I'm looking for a decent light weight optic. Don't need high magnification. Lookin to see if ya'll know of something I don't. Leupold makes a VX-Freedom 1.5-4x20 that comes in at 9+oz. I got a Vortex Diamondback to go on it right now, 12 oz, but it might end up on my 35 Rem. Thanks for any ideas.
  17. I made an "enhanced torque" just in case. It was overkill but overkill is just enough in my book. It is 1-1/8". I do have a caliper but the barrel nut and handguard is mounted on my dad's rifle. Check out my thread:
  18. Freeze it. No kidding. When i tried to remove the handguard from my PA10 upper it wouldn't budge. I left it in my deep freezer over night and it practically fell off. Not sure about the size nut, but mine was 1-1/8".
  19. I had the JP system in my R-25 and I'm now running the Armaspec SRS (essentially the same as JP) in my Xanthos build. The twang didn't bother me but the weights jostling around as I would pick up my rifle did. Seems to shoot just fine, plus it's like .7 oz's lighter than the rifle spring and buffer.
  20. Yeah buddy, any kind of pepper jelly. But, I'll bet some homemade variety would be killer.
  21. I'ma have to try that. Plan on doing a spatchcock-ed turkey in the Rectec next week. That injection will sure add some zing.
  22. Them deviled eggs got me thinking it's that time of the year. Ya'll gotta try this Cajun caviar recipe that a friend of mine gave me years ago. 1 Cup mayo (Blue Plate) 2 Cups finely shredded cheddar cheese 2 Cups chopped pecans 1 Cup green onion tops finely chopped 1 10 oz Container of red pepper jelly (McIhenney Co Tabasco brand or whatever you can find) Butter crackers (like Town House or Club) Start by toasting pecans in oven at 300* for 10 min. Let cool for 10 min or so. Mix pecans, cheese, mayo, and green onions in a large bowl. Spread mixture on a pie dish and level. Spread red pepper jelly on top of mixture. Scoop a spoonful on top of cracker and tear that shittt up.
  23. Thanks @jtallen83 Also scored a good bit of 308 Winchester range gold. Prolly looked like a hobo picking up trash but fugg it.
  24. Where's the rifle? I don't see nothing but a flash hider.
