  1. Nice!! To me, this is one of the most well suited wildcats for hunting. Having to handload though, could be holding it back. There is one place that sells loaded ammo but everytime I look, goose egg. BTW I just ordered 3lbs of Shooters World Blackout (along with some Varget for my 308's and some LVR for my 35's)! So if the Yeti never comes to fruition (WHICH IT IS) I can salvage it with a 300 BLK or an X39.
  2. Best advice. You'll be glad you did.
  3. Welcome from Cajun Country! Good looking list-o-parts. I've been tempted to try that O2 handguard. Looking forward to your thoughts.
  4. C'mon fellas, do it for the children.
  5. Exciting times! Congrats on the fresh freedom!
  6. @dpete Started a thread to see who's in on the group buy. 358 Yeti group buy
  7. I once read a quote that said something like "...a real man owns at least one rifle, .35 or bigger..." Here's your chance to be a real man. Specs can be found here: MDWS 358 Yeti These kits will be for 16" barrels in graphite black Cerakote, bolts, and dies. They should be available at the beginning March. There is strength in numbers and the more we gang up on these, the better deal we can get. Looking for at least 10. The main purpose of this thread is to find out how many would seriously be in on the group buy. Thanks fellas. I'll edit this list as it goes. Here's who's in so far(updated 1/31/19): @dpete @98Z5V @Boot_Scraper
  8. Yeah man, that turned out real nice!
  9. Guns ? Tanks? Hot chicks in yoga pants? Jeeps? They dropped the ball on the background music though. Some "Angel of Death" would've fit right in.
  10. Slow down man! You don't want to rush it. Looking good so far. What do you have left?
  11. I gotta make the swap. You're right Wash. Takes forever for the B&B to get to temp.
  12. There's something you don't see everyday. (Well, some of you might)
  13. Fuq that noise! You know it's bad when your grill needs a coat!
  14. I worked at a prominent meat market all through high school. Made a shitton of boudin, andouille, sausage, and other things to clog the arteries. I could walk you through it. Or take the easy road and send you a pack. Basically you take a pork shoulder, trim the fat, cut it up, and boil it with some onions, bell peppers, and a little beef liver. Then you grind that up and mix it with rice, green onions, and some seasonings. After that you stuff the mixture in sausage casing and let it cool. When you're ready to eat it, you can boil it, grill it (my favorite), or smoke it (my favorite as well). Pm me if you want me to send you a pack.
  15. That looks pretty slick. It's my youngest's birthday party this weekend and pulled pork and smoked boudin is on the menu. Hard to lose weight around here.
  16. If I ever nut up and make one of the AZ shoots, I got supper covered one of those nights.
  17. A mans gotta do, what a mans gotta do.
  18. 38* out and dropping. Rainy. I knows, some of y'all break out the flip flops at 38. Not this coonass. Whipped up something to warm the family up. Shrimp ettouffe (pronounced A-2-fay). Times like these, I love living in Louisiana. I wish you boys could have a bite.
  19. I've done that before. BANG... run in the house.
  20. I dunno what it is about the MBT, I can't quite put my finger on it...
  21. Got one in my Xanthos and previously had it in my Pa10. I love it. Can't really tell a difference from the Timney I had in my old R25. I believe the owner of Velocity was the big cheese at Timney before he went and did his own thing. They look identical aside from the color and price. However, I find myself wanting to put the MBT-2S into the Xanthos. Something about the trigger shoe, feels better on the MBT.
  22. That's the spirit! If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself. Three of my favorite powders for the 308 are Varget, Varget, and Varget!
