  1. I saw those, but the length of pull is a little short for me. Thanks for the recommendation though.
  2. I've been shooting my PWS MK216 for a while and getting it figured out. I want to go away from the carbine stock. Its prevents a good cheek weld and rips my beard hair out. I'd like to go to a fixed stock. The rifle came with PWS's receiver extension and buffer with spring. I emailed and asked them about changing to a different setup and they told me to try a different stock that fits on the carbine extension. I have found a few, but they are expensive and some like the PRS is very long and heavy. Currently the rifle is gassed just right, in fact I have to run the gas setting on full to operate with my silencer. The gas valve has 4 positions: normal, low back pressure suppressed, suppressed and off. So, I can't have anything that is heavier or that will slow down the carrier speed any more. The PWS buffer is marked H2 and weighs 4.2 oz on my scale. The stock is a BCM gunfighter. Looks like a standard carbine spring. The receiver extension is PWS's enhanced carbine tube. Any suggestions?
  3. Just thought I would update this. I put the POF roller in and have about 200 rounds through the rifle without any issues. Smooths out the “feel” when charging.
  4. Okay, awesome! Thank you!
  5. Just looked at it. Thanks for the suggestion. looks like it doesn’t have fitted mag pouches like I’m looking for though.
  6. I know it's not really a "part", but I wasn't sure where to ask this. I'm looking for a soft case for my PWS MK216, that will have SR25 sized mag pouches on the side. I have cases for my AR15's that fit, but the mag pouches are too small. Watcha got?
  7. Thanks for the offer. Not sure where you found it for that price, but I paid $26.81 from Brownells with my military discount.
  8. Thank you! looks like it’ll fit. I’ll drop one in and see how it works.
  9. .949” long .371” shaft diameter .395” narrow head width .490” wide head width
  10. Hmmm. I guess I don’t know if it’s standard. It’s the only 308 AR I have. Does this look standard?
  11. Is the POF roller cam pin compatible with the PWS 216?
  12. I thought I would update this thread. My order was placed on Black Friday. Through several emails I had been getting the run around about a shipping time, always getting an answer of "3-6 more weeks". I called last week and asked when my rifle would ship and was told 3-6 more weeks and that they do not have the parts to assemble the rifles they already took money for. Needless to say I cancelled my order. I then contacted PWS and ordered a MK216. It arrived at my FFL 4 days later. On top of that, they offer a military discount. So, it was a bit more than the Stag, but it's got adjustable piston to shoot suppressed. This thing is really nice. I installed an ambi safety, YHM flash hider can mount, and a Burris MTAC 4-16. I hope to shoot it when this snow melts and I can get up to the range. I plan to try out the Magpul, Lancer and ASC mags.
  13. Okay, I took the whole thing down again and pulled the barrel. Then the index pin fell out. That's not good. I think we may need to contact DPMS. I'm pretty sure something with the extension is out of spec. I've never had a pin fall out before.
  14. There is a very minor amount of rotation, maybe a few thousandths.
  15. I performed all of those checks before posting here. Thanks for the ideas. Carrier slides over the gas tube no problem. It’s definitly the bolt that is hitting. Barrel nut was installed without the gas tube mounted. Barrel nut off (or factory nut installed) the bcg runs in no problem. I was thinking that the barrel is somehow misalligning when the nut is torqued, but it only does it with this AIM nut. Its odd, after dozens of AR builds, I’ve never seen something like this.
  16. My dad wanted me to help him out and install a free float handguard. We have an Aim Sports 13.5" handguard. Made in China, and not very nice. Anyway, my dad didn't want to spend very much money, so I installed it. I found out that when the barrel nut is torqued down, the bolt will not engage the barrel extension. With the OEM nut installed the bolt goes home no problem. Anybody ever hear of something like this? I sent an email to the vendor stating that I would like to exchange it. I don't know what I expected for the price, but this is pretty lame.
  17. My dad bought a DPMS Oracle in .308. im putting a free float handguard in for him next week. I guess technically I have one....in the family. They’re just up the road about 30 minutes.
  18. No, first 308.
  19. I’ll put up photos when I get the rifle, 4-6 weeks.
  20. I’m excited. I just was told by Stag to expect a 4-6 week wait. Apparently Stag builds every rifle to order. As soon as it gets here I’d like to contribute data. If there are specifically things I can measure or check, let me know.
  21. I'm in Woodland (North of Vancouver, South of Kelso). Member at Clark Rifles.
  22. I have one of these coming in the left hand variety. I don't see a Stag specific subforum, any plans to add one? The Stag 10 is mostly LR308, but has a slant cut receiver set. Should I keep my questions to the DPMS variant forum?

    New guy

Hey all, I just joined the forum. Black Friday was too much from Stag Arms and I now have a lefty 10S coming. It will be my first 308 AR. I have several 5.56, 6.8, and 300 BO AR’s. I’m a disabled combat Army veteran of OIFII. Now I work as an auto tech in Washington state.
