What did you do the grill marks with? A soldering iron? Or did Freddy Krueger turn it over for you? Here are photos of a proper fob-ieye steak...

Looks like @unforgiven is pretty serious around the grill too. I better get him on the sample list...

Next samples of seasoning mix wll go to @shepp and @ARTrooper if for nothing else but for their contributions to many a topic and geographic distribution. Got thumbs ups from @98Z5V and @jtallen83.
  9. Are there any electricians on this forum? It looks to me like all those wires are cooked and need replacement.
  10. Ok, now both Superlative Arms adjustabls gas blocks are here. .750 for the 16" 338 federal and .875 for the 20" 6.5 Creedmoor (Wilson Combat barrels). I got a regular block with the 18" 308 barrel from BA. I am pretty close to having all the parts now. Sunday should be bin sorting day.
  11. My MBTs arrived!
  12. LaRue, times 2...
  13. Most of the choices on products were influenced by you guys here... Thank YOU for the input and good guidance!
  14. I know, I know... without photos, it didn't happen... Here they are... Still in the shipping tubes...
  15. Damn that thing is pretty! I didn't fondle the 338 Federal yet...
  16. I'm not sure when I will be ready to assemble. Or when Dirk is ready for an invasion. Feb gets a bit crazy, then March is worse. Maybe mid Feb. I think Feb 21/22 I will be back in Sac.
  17. Yeah, that's the one! ? In 6.5 Creedmoor, SS fluted satin finish. The 338 Federal is a 16" SS fluted, but I don't recall which model they had available so I have not ordered the gas block for that one. It may also be big diameter.
  18. A stout barrel from Wilson Combat... ?
  19. As I headed out, the owner asked if I thought a dill pickle spear would go well with that... Well, YEAH!.
  20. This was technically TODAY's lunch, but I will be wishing I had it tomorrow. I walked in to the Tehachipi Red House BBQ just in time for the first version of "the Big Midget" sandwich! The owner and staff had just plated their new creation. Brisket pastrami hot link bacon cheese grilled onions garlic, red cole slaw and a pepperoncini on the side. I told them "That's what I want. Just put the plate down on that table." Worth the trip! All their food is delicious! (Half sandwich pictured)
  21. I've got 1 Velocity single stage 3 lb for the 6.5cmAR, and these 2 LaRues for 308 & 338fed. In a week or two, I should have all 3 piles of parts...
  22. OK - how about one of these? Superlative Arms .875" Adjustable Gas Block, Bleed Off - Solid, Stainless Steel, Matte Finish
  23. LOL... Nope... only 2... if I like them, I'm getting on the JT plan... If nothing else, to get into the drawing!
  24. Just got my shipping email today! ?
  25. Oh bo, March is getting busy...
