  1. Thanks Robocop. I appreciate the help.
  2. 98Z5V made me laugh so hard I nearly coughed up a lung! ? I also picked up a compact router, but only one.
  3. Luth stocks arrived... ?
  4. If these don't work for me, they will likely be available...
  5. Nope. I'm not there yet... Kinda went on a shopping spree over the last couple weeks for a bunch of othe parts... Smart Phones are dangerous... These are going to be some interesting jig-saw puzzles...
  6. ?
  7. Took an hour-long drive to DNP's paradise today. AMAZING! Attached is the view to the east.
  8. I was originally thinking Ranier super match for the 6.5, but for less than that, I ordered both 6.5 CM & .338 Federal. DNP was right: you guys are really knowledgeable and good at helping others spend money. THANK YOU! I don't have the experience or time to do this alone!
  9. DANN 98Z5V! 1st idea is great! ? Can anyone top that? Where do I get the .338 Fed barrel? Do I get another 18" BA and have it modified (for lack of the correct term).
  10. Thanks Dirk. On sale Doc. Yeah folks, I've picked up a couple things for a .308 (BA 18" fluted ss) build, and will do another in 6.5 CM. I am also considering caliber options for the third one. 98Z5V had an interesting suggestion for .338 Federal. Looking into that, I stumbled across the similar .358 Winchester. Either of those would be very cool. Ultimately, the .308 & larger would be for feral hog hunting, and of course other stuff. Hog videos got me going on the ARs. Forum member suggestions are welcome.
  11. Yeah, I was originally thinking short and long .308, but this .338 Fed could be very interesting, and I read all 7 pages of the build post... Very interesting in deed! Thanks guys!
  12. .338 Federal Pig Puncher? Oh, he'll yeah!
  13. Dammit... I'm just trying to get my feet on the ground with .308 & 6.5 CM. I don't even know what .338 Federal is! Now I gotta do some more reading...
  14. 98z5v, you have a way with words... Warning to others: Don't drink and read... your beverage could shoot out of your nose! Looking forward to shooting with you!
  15. Artistry, that's what it is... Like Michaelangelo said about sculting... the sculpture was inside the stone...
  16. Thanks for the welcome, Guys. Dirk told me that AFTER I had posted that I know him... ? It looks like a boatload of info for me to learn.
  17. Hello All. This is my first post here. I'm a friend of Dirk (FoD?). He suggested this forum to get my questions answered and talk with a bunch of cool people. I'm building up a couple rifles from Thunder Guns DPMS Gen 2 lowers. I'm thinking 308 for one, and 6.5 Creedmore for the other. Leaning towards a 22" Rainier SS barrel on the 6.5CM. I got some furniture on the way. Any advice on interal parts is much appreciated. Of course they will be "featureless" since I live in the PRC (Peoples Republic of California).
