  1. I would love to see this data as I can’t find anywhere ? I buy my blanks from a company who makes these by the ton for many companies and they call out for 304 milepec? On top of that I haven’t been able to find a single gas tube in 303 ? So please find me this spec sheet !
  2. Gotta disagree on that , quick google search from multiple manufacturers say 304 , here is a clip from spikes themselves. Spike's Tactical has produced what we believe is the best gas tube out on the market for the AR-15 rifle. Our gas tubes are made out of Mil-Spec 304 stainless steel and then are Melonite coated for greater heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and lower reflection. These gas tubes are not only great for .223/5.56 uppers, but are perfect for the 5.45 uppers when you shoot cheap, corrosive, surplus ammunition. These are the same gas tubes that we install on our ST-15 rifles and all of Spike's complete upper receivers.
  3. Pretty sure mil spec gas tubes are 304 not 303.
  4. Here is a custom gas tube I bent up and made from a 21 inch blank. And then the final build of the 6.5 creedmoor , now to go shoot it and see what it does 😁
  5. Got about 10 of the 1.187 ID adjustable gas blocks done! Almost done with the 1.125 ID ones also.
  6. No I will when I take these out. I have about 4-5 toys I need to take out and sight in. As soon as I do that I’ll post some pics !
  7. Here is a picture of the gas tube I will be using for the PRC compared to the standard AR10 gas tube.
  8. Dang Fadal huh they haven’t been around in a while ! And good luck getting parts for them ! But yes it’s nice have a very large shop to play in!
  9. 98 do you turn your own tubes ? If you do I’ll give you a couple of these gas blocks I make if you wanna do some heavy barrel stuff?
  10. Northern Nevada ,where are you located ?
  11. Yeah gotta get it built to take out in the desert and stretch its legs !! See what it can do!
  12. Well starting another BIG barreled build. This is gonna be a 32 inch 6.5 PRC build! Got a 32 inch x caliber 1x7 5r blanks, I’m making my own 1 3/16 adjustable gas block along with a 21.75 gas tube, I will be going 5.75 + over rifle length on the gas. I have a double ejector bolt I will be opening up to fit the rim of the case. This will definitely be a bench gun 🤣 I’ll be making the muzzle brake also and some other odd end parts.
  13. Pretty much done with my creedmoor upper , mount a scope and go test it
  14. Looks good at what distance were you shooting ?
  15. Had a 25 inch blank and said why not ? Plus I can chronograph loads see how fast they are compared to factory. It’s a bench stand gun , I wanted the thickness for rigidness and to be able to do real fluting not the chicken scratch so many retailers do on barrels.
  16. Well I’m almost done with the 45 raptor , I have chosen to go rifle length gas and adjustable gas block that I made , this is not your run of the mill build , the barrel OAL is 27 inches , I made the the barrel with some very large profiles , 1.250 behind the gas block , 1.125 gas block and 1 inch to the muzzle. The flutes i did are half inch wide And deep leaving me about .175 wall. The muzzle brake I did is just a 4 port basic deal threaded 3/4x24. Did a recessed target crown on both the barrel and muzzle brake. I’m still on the fence if I should make my own hand guard or just buy one ? What do you guys think? Yes that’s another project I started on the table 😁
  17. Well it better be Sub MOA 🤣 I have to order some uppers but the hand guard I’m still debating if I wanna order one or make my own? But yes it’s fairly heavy before I fluted it the barrel weighed 7 lbs on the dot and after its 4.5 lbs. I will have to get some creedmoor ammo as i only have 260 rem right now. Originally made this for a friend but he has since decided he didn’t want to build an AR 10 variant anymore. So most likely I will just sell it.
  18. Here is a bench pig barrel 😁 1.250 behind has block 1.125 gas block 1 inch to the muzzle 21.375 OAL chambered in 6.5 creedmoor
  19. Here you go 98 , I’m rebarreling a 260 rem AL rifle , it’s a 28 inch barrel , 1.2 behind the gas block , 1.156 custom gas block and then 1.125 almost to the muzzle then down to an inch for a for a bloop tube . It’s an x caliber blank ,1x6 twist 416 stainless . Did a deep recessed crown . Anyways here is a pic for you 260 rem guys! Oh yeah it’s a +2 gas tube!
  20. I would like to do a rifle with white accents or maybe stainless ones?
  21. Cool! I like the blue accents !
  22. I may dump the creedmoor barrel ? I have a 260 rem and I’m not sure I wanna deal with buying more brass etc. Plus I’m sure once I my 6.5 PRC going I won’t mess with 260 rem anymore either lol!
  23. No I’m a machinist for a living this is just for fun. A couple of close friends take advantage of me ?
  24. Yeah milling stainless always comes out nice and pretty ! I’m also doing a custom 45 raptor barrel , it’s OAL is 27 inches (it’s a stand gun) I did a rifle length system , 1.250 behind the gas block ,1.125 gas block and then 1 inch to the muzzle , and then the muzzle brake , I did a 1x16 twist barrel. I’m also gonna make my own solids for it which I’m looking in the 225-250 grain area , I’m still working out the design on it but here is some pics of the barrel.
