  1. I am looking for one of these new or used. The ST0-10 scope I have has proprietary threads so the standard camera thread that most ARD/sunshades have will not fit. Gave US Optics a ring and they were not much help on the matter besides telling me they did not have one and ST-10 scopes have a proprietary thread that they would not disclose. There are other options to get what is needed but thought looking for what fits by the OEM would be a good place to start. Sunshade
  2. More or less everything needed for a .308 lower and a 5/8x24 thread comp/washer. These are all new rifle take off parts from a SAI Saint Victor. The trigger is a single stage/flat nickel plated unit, everything else is standard pattern .308 AR/DPMS. Take down pins are from Tennessee Arms ,a bit longer than standard, at the standard od. I need O/S pins so these are included also. 50.00 or trade for ??? I also have a few new take off items for AR-15 that are left from my pistol project but did not know if the AR15 items were OK to post here. If interested drop me a note. My Ebay ID is ; barton5972..... so you can take a look and see who you are dealing with. Bart
  3. Here is a link to the Primary/Secondary podcast I mentioned;
  4. Absolute Top of my "gotta have list" if you make these available......... My M1A already sits in a AG Carbon Traditional stock. Have a Wolf Fluted med-heavy barrel & Bula receiver for the next go-around. That hand guard would be just the thing to top things off, so to speak. Carbon is a PITA to work with but usually worth it when its done. Have quite a few items on my bike made of the material, the weight/strength ratio is off the chart.
  5. Cannot say enough about what FC offers for the AR rifle. All the bits & bobs that lurk about inside it will bring things to a halt in short order if they happen to go south. Very easy place to deal with, they only make what is necessary.....Order everything..! They will have .308 size take down pins available very soon but the .308 bolt catch is going to be awhile before they run another batch. Roger is great to deal with, very rare that the head man deals with the shipping/customer service on a regular basis. Usually get an Email along with a box sent from the "well trained shipping monkey"...getting quite the pile of oversized pencils & swag mags also. Ran across Roger when he was a guest on a Primary/Secondary podcast for AR manufacturing info, well worth the review if one has the time.
  6. Welcome from Michigan. That LAW folder is a handy option, I have one on my 300 blackout shorty.
  7. Thanks..My bush rifle is my hands down pick for a general purpose field rifle. With the addition of the ST-10, Atlas and Knight RAS the weight really became a distraction. Added a full 3 3/4 lbs and pretty much ruined it for a GP carry rifle. Worked great on the pod & prone but getting it there was getting annoying. Weighs in at 10 lbs even with a full 15 rd mag/sling and the RMR it has on it now. Sits in a AG Carbon stock, they only ran one batch of traditional stocks, managed to get a 2nd hand one from one of the members over at the M14 forum.
  8. Will do when I get things squared away. As usual with anything from SAI what Has to be right is done properly, economy where they can get away with it. I do have requirements that have to be met as to length of pull, trigger I can live with,etc. Out of the box I have to say they did not do a bad job. Price is right and the high points are head space is right on, BCG is first class thru out, pinned gas block, HD barrel nut, what looks to be a quality 16" barrel, 15 inch hand guard ( not fond of M-lok but its done well) however they did have a brain fart as there is no 12 o'clock rail. Thats alright if one does the crab grab, but I don't, plus no place to clamp on a Maul. Machining on the upper/lower is without fault but needs a set of JP O/S pins to tighten things up. Came with BCM sliding stock, Gunfighter hand grip, flippy sights, a Pmag and a nylon case I more than likely will not use. They do fudge on the weight claim of 7.8 lbs as it is just shy of 9 lbs unloaded and no sling. The way I have the rifle set up with the USO scope/mount, Atlas bipod, 20 rounds in the mag and sling it tips the scale at just shy of 13lbs. List of items that I had to have is as follows; Smith Vortex DD fixed front sight Matech rear sight w/ Foward Control clamp update Tac-ops 1 charging handle EGW forward assist plug Genuine USGI A2 stock & related w Kick Eez pad ( gets the 14 1/2" pull needed) Geissele Super 42 spring/ DPMS rifle buffer VZ Recon hand grip & grip panels Geissele SSA-E trigger group Badger Ordnance safety Forward Control innards ( all) Larue Magazines (2) May seem odd to some to tear into what is sold as a new rifle but this is not my first go around with a .308 battle rifle, or SAI products. Plus I had quite a few of the items on my list "on the shelf" so to speak. All the stock parts will be listed on Ebay if anyone is interested or note me here
  9. Thanks for the welcome gents..!

  11. Addmount does make some really good items. Went from ARMS #22 QD individual rings to the one pc scope mount when the ST-10 was moved from the M1A to the Saint. Really like the one pc mount. Very solid way to get everything where it should be. Getting the scope squared to the mount was super simple. Took quite a bit of messing around with the Knights RAS / individual ring set up on the M1A. Have a set of Addmount scope covers ordered to finish up the install, listed as backorder....get here when they get here.
  12. Anyone running one of these on their rifles.? US Optics ST-10 10x37 Figured my M1A could not kill it so the new rifle should not present any problems. They do define the term "Heavy Duty" Superb glass, easy to use reticle, spot on tracking & robust construction. The scope has served me well so far, just looking for some input from others that may have experience with it on a long range AR in .308.
  13. O/S take down pins from JP, couple of magazines from Larue. 500 rds of 300 blk just landed from Lucky Gunner.These guys seem to be a real good place to go for factory ammo. price(s) are fair and they are very prompt with the shipping.
  14. SAI pistol with a LAW folder, HK 416 sights, BCM quad rail,VZ grip, Forward Control innards and some night eyes. Just getting into NV activities and my trusty M1A bush rifle was a bit long. 300 Blackout AR pistol seems to be just right for the application.
  15. Hello one and all..! Chanced across the forum and thought I'd sign on board. Decided to procure one of the new SAI Saint Victors in .308/7.62x51 to work with and thought a place to share it was in order. Had a Armalite AR10T "back in the day" that was less than stellar, ended up taking it back and getting my first DS Arms SA58 Fal. Superb battle rifles, the first one came off the shelf, next one was built from scratch with all DSA components. For the most part have been a M1/M-14 shooter, having had many variations thru the years. They are still my preferred "go-to" for a field rifle. 2019 being a few years down the road from the past Armalite experience another go around with a .30 AR seemed to be a good thing to get involved with. Bought the Saint direct from SAI for 1166.00 shipped and while a few changes were in order so far so good. Waiting on a set of O/S take down pins from JP as the standard ones shipped were on the shy size and a couple of magazines from Larue, then a bit of range time can be scheduled. Lurked a bit on the forum while I was chasing parts for the Saint and get up to speed on current .30 cal ARs and you guys are doing a great job of getting the word out if someone wants to make an effort to inquire on the subject. Bart
