  1. Wherever you found them...nice surprise!
  2. I have a set (GO, NO GO, Field) of PTG Headspace Gages for 300 AAC Blackout on order.
  3. I wanted a place to get good information from on the AR-110/308 platform. I googled "AR10 forum". This forum was the first on the list.
  4. Thanks again to all the welcomes!
  5. Welcome from Mississippi
  6. I’m not complaining! There are lots of folks that have it much worse than me. Just thankful to the good Lord for every day he gives me!
  7. Thanks! I have Parkinson’s. Probably want get better...just hope to slow down progression as much as possible. One of my drs told me on my last visit to get out and go hunting and if I fell and broke a bone or something he would patch me up. Ha. Wife did not think that was too funny. I was thinking I have a great dr.
  8. Good to know. I am fairly sure I will switch. Already got my eyes on the 308 barrel.
  9. That sounds good!
  10. Familiar with the area, but not the RR (at least not by name).
  11. Not sure about up in PA, but down here I would have to also fry her up some tenderloin! That makes the world a little better!
  12. I would gladly go buy my wife a new one...that is a fine rack!!!
  13. I absolutely love these uppers. There is a little added cost, but how simple it makes installing or swapping barrels is worth it to me. Maybe I am just getting lazy in my old age, but I think this was a great enhancement. It does lock you into their hand guards, but they fit my hands well. I like to hear what others think about these (good or bad).
  14. This is my latest build. I started out with the AP Cerakote of the month (forgot which month this was). I think it is called Burnt Bronze. All other AR-308 platform builds were 308's. This one I went with the 6.5 Creedmoor with 22" Barrel. I think this was a mistake for me. I really don't have any place for long range shooting over 300 yards. Due to my health, it is a pain for me to carry something this heavy. I have not even shot it and I am already thinking about changing back to a 308 with a shorter barrel. It has an ATC AR Gold Trigger which I love on other builds. I also have the JP Silent Buffer system. I shoot suppressed some...but I put this on AR's even if I am not going to shoot suppressed.
  15. Thanks everyone!
  16. I'm new to the site. I have had AR-15's for a lot of years. Just this past year decided to get into AR-308's. I am currently a member of another site that is actually local to my state, but there is not as many conversations about the AR-308 platform as there is for AR-15's. I really want to find a forum that I can learn from and hopefully one day be able to contribute as much as I learn. This is the first forum I found so here I am. My first on this platform, I purchased a new DPMS LR-308. I liked it, but wanted to build my own. I sold that one and then built another with "nicer" features. So far, all of these have been 308's. My most recent is a 6.5 Creedmoor. I'll post some pics on this gun in another post. PS. I got my user name PawPaw after I had my first grandchild. He is 1.5 years old and I have a 2nd on the way. 😀
