Madhouse
So, I didn't need the receiver plate then? On my POF, the pivot pin detent and spring are held in by the grip. <dontknow>
TacBlade
Does it not go on there anyway, to help hold the tube in place along with the castle nut? I have not looked to close at a POF?
Madhouse
Ahh, maybe so. D'oh! <thumbsup>
survivalshop
Ya , that plate locks the receiver extension in place ,aliened with the lower receiver .There's a tab to alien it with the receiver extension & it has a dimple on it to alien the stock assembly with the lower receiver . Then the castle nut is a lock nut , to keep it tight & aliened. And we all know that, that plate is also used to hold the disassemble pin, spring & detent, in , on most AR rifles. Jgun
The MA TEN receivers also use that setup to hold the detent for the rear take down pin. Not sure if I like that set up as much as the AR-15 setup where the detent engages the pin from the back vs coming up from the bottom.
