moose-hunter Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Seems I read here a while back of a member having issues due to a "short" gas tube. Seems the tube's protrusion into the upper receiver wasn't enough and switching from a regular "rifle length" tube to a Armalite rifle length tube solved his problems... I'm looking for THAT thread to refresh myself on the details. Anyone remember this? Or... Happen to have a link to the thread?

Many thanks from this "search disfunctional" old fart. <thumbsup> This kind of confirms my suspicions... Comparing my laterst build with one of my AR-15's... the gas tube is about .25" shy on my .308. The DPMS tube is cuurently installed and a Armalite tube is on the way. Looks like a few extra tools will be coming along to the range. Thanks again!!
