mineralman55 Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 These prices are almost unbelievable. I'm glad to see the prices down. I wonder if some of the manufacturers of specialty uppers and lowers will drop their prices as a result? http://www.wikiarms.com/group/ar10rifles
mrmackc Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 That is what I paid for my DPMS 7.62 Oracle in December from a local dealer. Added Burris mounts and a Bushnell AR 1-4X40 scope, front sling mount Magpul 20 and 10 round magazines for a total price of $1100 plus change. all new in the boxes. Now I added a SSA trigger and have a nice shooting LR308 for$1300
blue109 Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 (edited) I like the trend. Just built a 5.56 gun for a buddy under $500 with a PSA Holliday deal build kit and a local Anderson lower. Strange to think we can thank the libs and socialists for this shining example of capitalism. They drove demand through the roof when they attempted to ban everything. Capitalism took over to fill that demand and ended up saturating the market. Balance will be restored but take advantage while you can. This rollercoaster since 2012 will be gunny lore. theres no way I would have the nice hardware I have if I hadnt of played that game just right. Edited April 27, 2015 by blue109
mrmackc Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 Blue, I agree that if the money situation allows we should stock up while we can. Most of what is going on in the investment world is a mystery to me.
blue109 Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 Unfortunately, my situation does NOT allow lol. I can say I played this particular "market" pretty well, allowing me to build some nice toys on a small budget.
ChaseFan9 Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 I still want to jump on a couple more projects while prices aren't ridiculous. Right now might be a good time to make a couple investments, too. I remember the Shooters out here has a SCAR 17 for $1200 a few years ago, now look at the prices
