tbready
Anyone have any good load data for Nosler 168 gr HPBT using RE 15?
shibiwan
Load it like you would do with an SMK 168 gr HPBT. I've loaded tons of them (Noslers) and have had good results.

lx2008
i just started to make a few w/ re-15. got data from the sierra manual. (sierra match 168gr. bthp) if i`m not mistaken, 42.0grs. is their accuracy load. (2,600fps. ) soon as i get some time i`m going to crony them.( just bought a new magnetospeed v.3) i did however crony some using imr-4895. 41.5grs. is supposed to be the perfered load. it is to give you around 2,550fps +,- 20. but, using my rcbs Charge Master electronic throw-scale combo, 41.5 only gave me an avg. of 2,430. had to go up to 43grs to get to 2,550. no pressure signs at all. and i was using L.C. brass so i was aware of the thicker brass & the posssble higher pressures using l.c. brass. had no idea the charge master was that "un-accurate". will make me re-think now some of my other data i have accumulated over the years. jtallen83
Have you checked the scale against a known weight to calibrate it?
lx2008
calibrate it every time before i use it w/ the 2 50g weights they give you. i`m sure there is no problem with the scale. i just think the manual is a little gun shy lawyer wise! at 2550 to 2,600 fps, which is the velocity i`m getting, @ that weight,( 43.0 grs. of 4895 ) i`m have no over pressure signs at all.
