JAY Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 I recently purchased the G2 AP4, and I just got out to shoot it for the first time. First impressions, the fit and feel are very nice. It really surprised me how light this rifle is compared to my pig of an M1A, and in being so light the amount of recoil also surprised me as it is much, much less than my standard SAI M1A. I did not really test the accuracy simply because I plan on adding optics shortly, but it seemed to hold good groups with open sights and I am no marksman. I do not really care for the style of the pistol grip as it feels a little akward in hand and the checkering is a bit aggressive for my personal taste, but this is cheap and easy to replace. Overall, this rifle seems to be great quality for the price. I would buy 3 of these before I purchased another M1A.On a side note I have heard over and over again from DPMS detractors that they do not offer chromelined barrels standard on any of there rifles. Now, I can tell you this is simply false, although many of there models do not offer chromelined but rather chrome-moly barrels, they do offer chrome lining as my gun came with a chromelined 16" barrel standard.
