Is That Long Enough?

  1. 1. What length slide & barrel should Mikedaddy use to take full advantage of the 10mm cartridge on his 1911 build?

    • 4" because nothing beats a Commander with a bobbed tail and a 4' fireball

    • 5" is a proper 1911 setup you gumptard!

    • 6"barrel & 5" slide for that teeny weenie circumcised look

    • 6" barrel & full length 6" slide for that neuvo longslide look

    • 7" barrel & 7" full length slide to honor the AMT Javelina, higher velocities, and good pistol whippin' bitch smackin' properties!

    • 7.5" barrel & 7" slide, so he can thread that badboy for a multitude of Mikedaddy addons!

    • Totally proprietary and custom 9" barrel & slide, because Wyatt Earp would have wanted it that way!

Oooo!  The stakes get higher!

A LWD 10mm Comp, extra slide mass, and a '72 Chevy pickup front suspension coilspring should be able to control the recoil on Mike's 10mm loads too.

What length barrel and slide should he put on his custom 1911 10mm build?

 

Really Jon, it's a mute point I already have a 5" slide. Lance is going to put "Lighting Holes" in it like the ones STI and The 1911 store offer. I plan on cloning the Caspian frame to look like a Colt Delta Elite. Still have to buy 30+ parts, it going to take a while.

Thats sounds tempting ! I still have to buy a barrel. Looking for a SS 5 1/2 threaded barrel now !

The Lone Wolf Comp would look pretty good on my 10mm AR pistol and its anodized black. Price isn't bad at all.

Oops it dark charcoal parkerized not black anodized.

I bought it for a 10mm build originally.  I bailed on the build early. Almost considered a .40cal Glock lower just because of all the free ammo I was getting. 

I have a buyer looking for a 10mm build. I'm waiting for QC10 or DDLES to make a CA version of their G20/21 lowers again. If you don't take this for your 1911, it'll go on his build.
