handguard and gas block fit question

Hey.  Looking to replace hand guard and gas block on a DPMS 308 Oracle.

I want to go with a Syrac adjustable lo pro block (clamp on) and a Midwest Ind. Free Float MLok 12" rail.

Anyone know if this gas block will fit?  I found a schematic showing the gas block height is 1.426".  Not sure of the I.D. of the rail.  Think it's 1.5", but not sure and can't find anything specific on the MI website other than an O.D. of 1.75".

Thanks.

Thanks.  Glad to be a new .308 owner.

Yes, rifle has a carbine gas system, 16" barrel.  Gonna cover the gas block with the 12" hand guard.

Not sure if "General" is the right forum section?  Guess I could have posted in one of the technical areas, "parts" or "building"?

Tried to move the post last night but couldn't find how to.

You beat me to it, I've had good luck emailing MI with questions, many times I get a response that day and always by the next. They will also give you direct answers on specifics, they gave me the exact numbers for the clearence I would have on a SLR adjustable block.

You'll have to post some pictures for us when you get it together.
