Quentin Posted April 1, 2016 Report Share Posted April 1, 2016 I believe the magazine catch and bolt stop catch are the only differences in the A and B LPKs. I think that B bolt stop is a pretty beefy one, and has been used in a fair number of builds as noted by various guys on the forum. Here's a thread on one modification: https://forum.308ar.com/search/?type=all&q=bolt+stop+surgery . I picked up one of the B LPK's a while back, just to get the quality spare parts. Maintaining two incompatible receivers does cause problems but it's hard to drop something you've been selling over 20 years, especially when they've sold way more B series over the new A series.
