EasyEJL Posted April 1, 2016 Report Posted April 1, 2016 I know the A lpk is the pmag compatible in terms of the lower. But just looking at the LPK, what is the difference? They have the B in stock, but not the A right now.....
EasyEJL Posted April 1, 2016 Author Report Posted April 1, 2016 Well, I answered my own question, I went through the parts list, and the only piece that is different is the mag catch itself. I guess I have to wait till the A is back in stock without trigger
Quentin Posted April 1, 2016 Report Posted April 1, 2016 I believe the magazine catch and bolt stop catch are the only differences in the A and B LPKs. If you're in a rush you might see if those parts are in stock separately. Probably not since the A version LPK isn't in stock.
Gator Monroe Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Do you guys foresee the B LPKs going into backordered mode soon ?
jtallen83 Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 I'd grab one while it is there. They may very well decide to stop supporting the B model and just drop it.

I think that B bolt stop is a pretty beefy one, and has been used in a fair number of builds as noted by various guys on the forum. Here's a thread on one modification: https://forum.308ar.com/search/?type=all&q=bolt+stop+surgery . I picked up one of the B LPK's a while back, just to get the quality spare parts. I think I picked up the A bolt stop at the same time, just because it was available. That one ended up in a friend's build......

Maintaining two incompatible receivers does cause problems but it's hard to drop something you've been selling over 20 years, especially when they've sold way more B series over the new A series. Introducing the A series was the right thing to do, though.
Gator Monroe Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 If you guys had to make a guess on how long it will take ArmaLite to fill my FFLs order (2 Weeks old) for my California Legal B model stripped Lower how many months would you say ?
