DonnyH Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 Is there any restrictions to buying stripped AR 10 Lowers online and having them transfered to a Licensed dealer in California?I've been trying to read a lot of the stuff on here to find all the info I need to Build an AR 10.But some questions I want to know now.Hope to start purchasing parts in July Starting with the Lower and upper recievers. Thanks for any feed back ahead of time :-)
shepp Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 Welcome to the forum feel free to post in the intro section if by AR10 you actually mean armilite, I think I remember someone saying that there is a restriction on armilite because of the name? There was a guy here building a Cali legal armilite, but he is no longer with us. But I'm sure someone will be along to add to or correct what I said above
Robocop1051 Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 The original AR10 is banned in California, as is the original DPMS Panther Arms. There are a plethora of "off list" lowers that are available in California. Almost any stripped lower can be purchased in California. You are responsible for building your semiautomatic rifle with a fixed/locked magazine. You better hurry up too. If Jerry Brown passes the unconstitutional shiiit on his desk, we're all fuq'd.
DonnyH Posted May 19, 2016 Author Report Posted May 19, 2016 Thanks thats one of the reasons I'm building now.I fiqured as long as I add the bullet button.I would be ok and it won't be illegal in Calif stripped unless I build it without one.I have the list of banned guns so won't be building one of those.Glad to have found you guys.I will be posting my build and sure I will be asking more questions. :-)
DonnyH Posted May 19, 2016 Author Report Posted May 19, 2016 Thanks for the welcome Shepp.I did post in the intro section :-)
