6.5 VS 6 Creedmoore

I looking a building an ar-10 any suggestions or comments on the caliber and any recommendations on a top end manufacture of upper/lowers?

    My neighbor says the 6mm Creedmore is out shinning the 6.5 at matches ( he shoots with a 6mm CM Bolt gun at long ranges ).  There is a good many Receiver makers out there now a days , just look in the build section for what is being used by most . Both my 308AR's are DPMS Receivers & shoot much better then I ever will . 

    What are your plans for this rifle , Match , Hunting, paper punching ? The guys at GA shooting team , used the caliber in AR's at first then went to Bolt Guns & had more wins .

Barrel life of 6MM Creedmoor is 1400.  

Barrel life on 6.5 Creedmoor is 2900

These are on Bolt Guns.  So with the way most people shoot gas guns I would shave off a couple hundred.  This is my personal experience, but it mimics that of other shooters that compete.

sounds about right and 6.5 CM is going commercial big time the ammo cost is coming down and there are lots to choose from for hunting , target, long range 6mm CM is not commercial yet so it is expensive to shoot I love my 6.5 CM

tks survivalshop!  the barrel I've decided on is a Dracos, anyone have any feedback on this maker?

Used to shoot 6mm284 why did i quit barrel life it sucks about 1000 rounds and it is done ...if money is no object go for it it is a awesome caliber to hunt with as well..
