Hotwrench Posted January 7, 2018 Report Posted January 7, 2018 I was just reassembling my BCG and noticed something odd. Please see attached picture. Compared to the only other cam pin I have (AR15) the cam pin hole is 90 degrees out. Is this normal for a PA10 BCG or have I encountered another PSA point of excellent Quality? I have only fired 20 rounds so maybe I just got lucky.
bfoosh006 Posted January 7, 2018 Report Posted January 7, 2018 (edited) Completely normal for a 308AR. Insert, but do not twist 90 degrees... install FP ... etc Edited January 7, 2018 by bfoosh006

Hotwrench Posted January 7, 2018 Author Report Posted January 7, 2018 Weird for it to be that different. Are all of them that way and WHY??
Hotwrench Posted January 7, 2018 Author Report Posted January 7, 2018 Maybe that is why the pin has a bevel on the head?

Lol.... welcome to the wacky world of the non-milspec 308ar.... there is a practical reason though... it works and the charging handle channel would have to be wider then needed... as well as the gas key BTW... if you haven't read this yet... you might be interested... https://forum.308ar.com/topic/15124-pa10-nitrated-18-nb-bcg-gen-2-observations/ and... https://forum.308ar.com/topic/15565-psa-pa10-genii-lower-with-pa-65-65cm-20-rifle-length-gas-upper-review-psa-nailed-it/
