Gotcha. One thing to be careful with used  or inexpensive Larue stuff. There's a Chinese company making counterfits right down to the part numbers and logos. Not so nice folks are buying and reselling them as the real deal.

Gottcha, and Im sure there are ways to see the difference but the difference in the two are so small that only a very trained person can tell. Or is there an easy way to tell? Also I dont really think I will come up with a good used one so I most likely will be ordering straight from  larue here in a few weeks.

I havent seen them in person. I just followed the trail a bit, saw some pictures and had some e-mail conversations with Larue. SKDTAC sometimes has discount codes. Maybe just check there before you buy.

When they have a special it's usually listed on the main page some place. If you dont see it there isnt one at this time.

Only mounts I've seen like that are for red dot magnifiers.  Don't know what you'd have to do in order to fit the primary optic into one of them.  <dontknow>
