Vortex Diamondback 3-9X40 Dead Hold BDC Scope

I can get one barely used with  ll paperwork for 140. I have a cheaper centerpoint that works but I only shot at 100 yards. It is the definition of a budget. Is it worth spending the money or saving for a primary arms scope for around 300.
