I have an LR-308C that I'd really like to have a railed handguard on. Is there any solutions other than a free float tube?

I did a custom search here at Brownells for you. I believe many of the results are relevant (some arent). Basically there is several railed models that install just like A2 handguards

Doesnt 308C just use standard A2 handguards?

Doesn't Midwest Industries offer a 2 piece drop in railed hand guard that utilizes the plastic handguard monts and doesn't effect the delta ring?

Yes the LR-308C has A2 handguards, and according to Midwest their drop in handguards won't work on a Dpms. I've seen some modular rail sections, that I thought might mount on the A2 handguards, does anybody know anything about those? Mainly if they're worth messing with, and if they'd actually mount up?

ahhh..it also might be the new DPMS rail height issue. Might fit but they will be different heights. I need to ponder a bit.

What the difference in height? Is the AR-10 higher, because my LR doesn't look all that high.

DPMS has changed the rail height three times. There's a thread or two here somewhere with measurements
