Hand guard compatibility help

Yes, an other one of those “can this fit” thread.

I got a Windham Weaponry 16.5” 308 barrel for cheap so I’m wanting to build a rifle around it.

I do know the barrel extension is DPMS G1 pattern. The gas system is mid-length.

Are the Armalite and DPMS barrel nut delta rings and circle style front stock furreal the same size?

Armalite and DPMS use a different thread pattern.

Same. Only thing you’ll need to do is keep your bcg a DPMS pattern.

All I needed to know. Thanks!

I’ve been playing mix and match with this potential build. Building the barrel group first, then the upper and lower.

Hand guard selection has been a pain in the butt. Finding a good free float 9” quad rail has been a pain so I am going with the two-peice MI drop in quad rail for the AR-10. The minuscule difference in rail height of the Armalite vs the DPMS G1 isn’t much of a concern to me.
