Morobeachbum
I know this has been discussed a thousand times but can anyone tell me what buffer I need and what tube. I have a factory DPMS lr308 carbine I would like a heavier buffer to slow the bolt down a little. Thanks
Armed Eye Doc
If it is a factory DPMS rifle, it probably has a AR15 length buffer tube. You should measure the internal depth of it to be sure. A good place to go is heavybuffers.com. He will let you know what you need.
98Z5V
If it's cycling too fast, just get the KAK heavy buffer. It comes in at 5.3oz, over that 3.8oz buffer that DPMS gave you. This one: https://www.kakindustry.com/lr308-carbine-buffer-heavy According to @survivalshop, the DPMS factory system is good to go - stock 7.000" internal-depth extension, with the real DPMS LR-308 Carbine spring, and the 3.8oz real DPMS 2.500" buffer. If that thing is cycling too fast, that KAK heavy buffer will slow it down.
