Night-owl4194 Posted February 26, 2020 Report Posted February 26, 2020 Hey guys, I'm relatively new to the site but I wanted to give you guys a little review on my 80% project. They're jig is top notch, the lower is very well designed. The only issue I ran into was with the integrated trigger guard. I am a fan of the hyperfire edt triggers....I have a few of them in different platforms and in my opinion they're g2g. Anyway, I had the edt3 all ready to go, it's a slight curved trigger with a more vertical bend at the bottom......the trigger bottomed out on the trigger guard.....So instead of modifying it I decided to take a look at the larue mbt-2. I got the straight bow to try out and sure enough it bottomed out as well. I ended up taking a decent amount of meat off the bottom of the trigger and now it functions great. I have no mil-spec triggers to try but fairly confident they'd work fine in the lower....don't hold me to it tho. All in all, that was the only hiccup I had. I'm not advertising/marketing for the company but even when searching I haven't found that much info/reviews on them. If asked my opinion.....I'd buy another without a doubt.
Armed Eye Doc Posted February 26, 2020 Report Posted February 26, 2020 Thanks for the review. 👍 That's how others learn. What upper did you use? Any problems with fitting the 2 together?
Ravenworks Posted February 26, 2020 Report Posted February 26, 2020 (edited) Good review Like Doc asked, what upper are you using? I don't know if you know but they ripped off 5D Tactical for their jig. Edited February 26, 2020 by Ravenworks
Night-owl4194 Posted February 27, 2020 Author Report Posted February 27, 2020 It's an aero m5 upper, fits tight. Yea, no I didn't know that. Either way it's a great jig, quality tooling...i don't regret the purchase
