Saint Victor Pistol

So I’ll give you guys the short story. I’ve been looking for a Springfield saint victor for a while now. Wanted a standard rifle that I planned to suppress and put a thermal optic on for hog hunting. My local LGS had a saint victor in 308 but it was pistol length. I bought it anyway because I liked the model. My question, what all is required to swap in a 16 inch barrel? I know there’s other options but I’d rather just do a barrel swap and try to keep most the rest of the gun as is for the time being.

Get a Springfield upper pull the pins swap have fun. You can make a rifle lower with a pistol but you can't make a pistol lower out of a rifle.

I figured doing a barrel swap would be faster than trying to find another rifle length saint victor upper. Given the current situation of the industry anyway

Pick whatever 16" barrel that you want to swap in - and do it.  It'll work. I don't know what SA uses for a barrel nut, so you might need a special barrel nut wrench from them, to pull this off.  Taking off the handguard, and showing us detailed pics of the barrel nut would be the first order of operations.  If it's simple, we'll tell you - if it's complicated, we'll ask you for dimensions of certain parts of it, in order to see if any other barrel nut wrench would/might work.
