cwouscg Posted July 3, 2021 Report Posted July 3, 2021 Been a while since I posted about my build I had a chance to load some up and start fine tuning a load for it. I'm really liking the Faxon barrel. These were 168 gr Sierra Match over IMR 4064 on a very windy day @ 100 yds. 2nd photo is using BL-C2 and those worked well too. The last photo is of Barnes 155 gr MatchBurner. This rifle does not appear to like the Barnes bullet! I was aiming at the diamond same as the rest and you can see how far off they were! I'll work on the Sierras and see how tight it will get. I'm thinking I'll get sub MOA with this barrel.

Personally I would NOT make any changes or rule out the Barnes bullet not working well until you get to spend some range time on a calm day with no wind at all. Wind is NOT your friend with these things and can move the shooter and the bullets around a lot more than one would think they would.......FWIW.....
