Sub 9lb Rifle

I was looking into an 18" noveske barrell with a seven flute. They have stated that htey can shave a TON of weight off of the barrell. The intended purpose of the rifle is a precision rifle, that will not weigh a ton. I would prefer to get it into the 9 or 10 lb range naked w/o optics or magazine.

I was looking at optics.

For my AR15 I am looking at a Leupold VXR Patrol 3-9 or the VX6 2-12. I know I am looking at a differnece between 600 and 1000 dolars.

I am not set on an optic for my .308 yet. I am looking at the 2 to 3 k price range. I want to stretch my trigger finger out to 1000 yards and touch some steel.

Any thoughts on either of my choices for the AR15, or my current build.

got a build in my head like same. Looking at mega mono set with ace stock , 18in sass , gonna part with ss ruger and mossberg if needed

Those SASS barrels are accurate, but use proprietary has blocks. They also weigh a ton. The SASS is a different contour than others.
