Oz
Very cool. I want to add a .338 Lapua Magnum to my build list. Jestism over on WeaponsGuild.com is doing a custom lower/upper combo that will accommodate .338 LM. I posted this link in that thread for inspiration --to get 'er done!If you had an extra $5k layin' around, would you just buy that one, or would you still build one yourself? The decisions been made for me already, I was just curious.Oz
imschur
Three years ago I was moments away from impulse buying an Armalite AR-30 chambered in .338LM. The dealer had no ammo on hand. I decided to hold off and check ammo availability. Got home and checked Midway and was floored it was a little over $10 per round. So with the cost per round and no range longer than 200 yards I skipped the .338 LM. For me the 300 Winchester Magnum works as I travel to Vermont to shoot long range at a buddies. I noticed the local mom & pop store had 300 mag on the shelf a few feet away from the twinkies, 2 cycle oil and pron mags.Ill get a .338 LM weapon when I retire and move next door to 98Z5V <thumbsup>
