1/4 moa turrets not doing 1/4.

Was out using one of my bolt rifles today and was trying my darndest to move the poi into the X ring on an MR-31C target. Target 1 shows starting point and would indicate 1 click up and 1 left to bring the group into the X area. Well made the adjustments and 2nd target shows the results. For some reason with this old Leupold VX-III 6.5 - 20 is actually moving things 1/2 moa. Made a scope change to a Sightron 10-50x60mm with 1/8 moa clicks off another rifle and had no problem walking right to the poi desired. Yes, I have run the turrets on the Leupold all the way in both directions to make sure this are working. After having this scope on the same rifle for 30 years me thinks it's time for a change. Whatta Hobby!
