help with handrail options

I'M NEW TO TO ARs SO I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THEM. I HAVE A BUSHMASTER .308 ORC. 16" BARREL MID LENGTH GAS BLOCK. WHAT TYPE OF HANDRAIL WILL FIT? DROP IN , FREE FLOAT ? HELP.

The ORC's I've seen had low profile gas blocks already installed. Your only obstacle is the barrel nut. Most high end free float tubes require their proprietary barrel nuts. If you're doing the work yourself, you'll need a large vise, a receiver vise block and a barrel nut wrench. You'll also need to get rid of that handguard cup. Either remove the gas block to slide the cup off, or cut enough of the cup away so a free float will clear it.

As it sits now, almost any drop in handguard will work. As long as it is midlength. They make 308 specific parts, but most ar15 parts will fit with just a little bit of modification.
