Why is it when you have no cash the deals pop up?

I blew the last of my spending money a week ago. Today not one but two deals pop up on a local forum. #1 a CT preban AR-15 for about $200 ($1300) more than I paid for a stripped CT preban lower two weeks ago. #2 a CT legal unfired Bushmaster ACR for $1500  >:(

Do I understand you correctly? You paid $1300 for a stripped lower? That's re-donc-ulous!

As for the ACR, I've shot one. Liked the ergos. Didn't like the weight (for a 5.56 rig). The killer for me was the 1:9 twist barrel. Now that Remington's involved with it, maybe they'll make some improvments.

What exactly are the restrictions in your state that make the pre ban stuff so  desirable that the prices are so high?

The CT ban pre dates the Federal ban for one. Many weapons are banned by name. So the AR-15's that arent named in the ban and were manufactured before the ban was implemented are highly desireable as you can have all the evil features. CT AWB forbids more than two evil features.
