Tooka look at your link brother Mike,so what did you come away with after all that.I took it to be about the bullet cutting thru the air and displacement of the air there of from speed.The barrel or hammonicis not so much a part of the picture? <dontknow>

Are you kidding ! Its like a rocket trying to enter the atmosphere  with out the use of computers, too many varibles.

You have a bullet moving through three kinds of waves, the ballistic coeffient changes the speed ,other changes like air temp, speed of sound ,humidity,wind and many more.

Its all a compromise ... I just want to get close on a load.

I can control the explosion with the primer and powder combo. Seating height  and crimp pressure can be adjusted to find a safe medium.

This is easy as wind tunnel testing. Now my brain is fryed.
