sellmarkguy Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 I have recently begun to load up some LC brass with 35.0 grains of BL/C2 , as opposed to the suggested Hodgdon medium load of 43.5. I will try to get pics, but recoil is slightly mitigated and allows me to fire faster cadences, while keep the muzzle on target with minimal rise. This is with the 150 grain bullet. Give it a try sometime. These were fired from the DPMS AP4.

MikedaddyH Posted June 30, 2012 Report Posted June 30, 2012 Try IMR 8208XBR it is a powder which will have a softer recoil. It can be loaded as low as 90 % and still be accurate. An old timer suggested using Trail Boss as a low recoil powder, he stated I could fill up the entire case and it would not have any high pressure situations. (This was for a different case 300wsm).I read an article in a gun mag about low recoil powders I'll find it and post the info later.
