Armalite pattern barrel sources

Hey all, I’m looking for a 308 or 7mm-08 (would really prefer 7mm-08 but I’m not optimistic lol) 20”, lighter profile barrel that uses the Armalite gas system length. Seems like everything I find uses DPMS and that precludes my using drop in hand guards as I would prefer.
Is there a vendor that has the Armalite barrels on the shelf?

Not usually, for what you're looking for.  I'll tell you now that we can overcome any gas system issues you have, though, so don't worry about gas system (gas tube) length.

I have a a 7mm-08 Wilson Combat barreled gas gun, and it's awesome.  It's been on the back burner as far as load development goes, with a bunch of other distance guns on my plate recently - but it shoots, and I've shot it.  Wilson Combat is my go-to source for premium barrels in weird calibers.

Here's the barrel I have from them:

Don't get wrapped around the axle over the desire for a 20" &mm-08 over this 18" 7mm-08 barrel.  It'll do everything you ever want it to do, and then some.

Why not go with a free float fore end? It just needs to have an Armalite barrel nut. Then you can use any barrel and caliber that fits the large frame guns.

I don’t want it. I have lots of free floated fore end ARs, but my favorites are always the service rifle types with heat shielded fore ends like my A4 and M4 clones. I simply prefer drop in, insulated handguards.
Personal preference.

I’d be happy with 18” too, anything I can mount rifle length drop in handguards onto would be fine.
if that barrel had the proper gas system length I’d have been all over it.
