Cunuckgaucho
So looking at Vihtavouri, in particular N570 seeing as I have to play catch up and feed a 338. I've had good experince with Retumbo and H1000 on other calibers. Vihtavuori is becoming more common and carried by several local places, Specificly N570,it's actually easier to get 8lbs jug and a savings of almost $300CAD vs 8lbs of H1000 or Retumbo. So for people using Vihtavuori, how does it meter? is it temputure sentive? Any feedback good or bad, in particular 300magnums and larger. I have a couple of lbs of it here is my take a good powder for big boomers but it meters like crap it is very long kernels and NOT temp sensitive and it costs here about 10 bucks more a lb than either H1000 or Retumbo those are the reasons I passed it up when I was developing a powder charge for next zip code. Cunuckgaucho
That's what I read, it was suggested that if using a Chargemaster then to trickle charge the last bit of the charge. Considering I can get 24lbs of N570 for the same cost as 16lbs of Retumbo or H1000 along with N570 is readily availible in 8lbs jugs . The Hodgdon is mostly availible in 1lbs bottles.
