85 Jimmy
And now my real wait begins. I placed my order on this on December 4th and had it transfered to my local dealer. It took just over 11 weeks to get to him and he wouldn't do my form 4 until he had it in hand. Form 4 goes in the mail tomorrow. The bad thing is, he doesn't have a range and I can't take it to one to test it out. So I don't get to play with it until I get the form 4 back :-[
Rsquared
Yep. The wait absolutely kills you. But...nothing thst can be done about it. Except.....start buying class 3 stuff once a month. Then, about 6 months from now, stuff will start rolling in.....and then it's christmas every month. <lmao>
85 Jimmy
I submitted a form 1 to SBR something 2 weeks ago... :o
98Z5V
... and he wouldn't do my form 4 until he had it in hand. It's not that he wouldn't do anything before it got to him. He can't do your Form 4 until it gets there, in his hands, transferred to him.
Rsquared
He's right. You have to have serial numbers on the forms to submit them. Obviously, if he doesn't have the can in his hand........no serial number.Just the way it works.
85 Jimmy
I've been told by other dealers that once the form 3 is submitted by the initial dealer the form 4 can be submitted to speed up the waiting period.I don't deal with NFA items all the time, and I think I've learned a lesson. The next suppressor I get (I want an AAC Element2 for my 10/22 and ruger 22/45) I'll try to find a dealer that already has one in stock.
