Robocop1051
We talked about this a while ago, but I think it's a topic worth bringing up again. Check out these guys... http://www.pcpammo.com/and these guys... http://extremepolymer.blogspot.com/Maybe check out a video from Shot Show 2012 while you're at it??http://www.youtube.com/embed/O88oyavhCUg
Pappy1600
Can it be reloaded? If so how? I like the idea of the lighter weight, interesting concept but will it catch on? I sent PCP a email to see if I can get some samples and additional information. I believe manufacturing cost is going to be a determining factor of retail price. planeflyer21
6-8 euro cents per shot, figure a dime on average for pistol cartridges for the American market. At that price, who cares if it is reloadable.Jon
Robocop1051
I remember the Spaniards saying that the straight wall pistol cartridges were all they could make. They said the cost was about 1/10th that of brass, and the ease and speed of production was incomparable. They were experimenting with +P at the beginning of the year. I look forward to an affordable .308. What would be really nice, is if they sold just the casings for hand loads. Then we could mix and match casings to make 300 Blk too! I think the price of the PCP is based solely on the quality of the bullets being used.
george_995
This is interesting. I have seen polymer training rounds before(.308), the range was for 200- yards I believe. IIRC dillon precision used to sell the practice ammo through the Blue Press. I look forward to see what the final price on the PCP .308 168gr.German Blue Plastic training ammo 7.62x51 http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=512145Looked up the contact info, they are about an hour and twenty minutes away from me.
