AK308
Is there anyone out there who can explain the concept of ballistically calibrated scopes? I always thought a scope was a scope. :-[
98Z5V
Example of the Nikon BDC - Bullet Drop Compensating - Reticle.Zero it at 100 yards, dead center. If you're shooting something at 200, use the hash mark down, etc.
Robocop1051
There are also Bullet Drop Compensator scopes. Zero your scope to 100, then the elevation dial is marked for different distances to adjust your zero. Companies like Nightforce, Swarovski, Zeiss will ship you a marked dial for the exact bullet you are shooting.

98Z5V
Great optic, man. I think you have two choices with that one - BDC-800 reticle, so it'll have bullet drop lines/circles for the different ranges. I think you can also do a standard reticle (crosshairs), and you'd get the calibrated turrets with range marks on them. Dial in the distance, shoot... <thumbsup>
