planeflyer21 Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 Dammit! Just when I thought I'd broken free from the Curse of The Wheelies!! Jon
EasyEJL Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 I prefer revolvers personally. Although I want to try for the 3 gun competitions, and i'm not sure how well a revolver will work out for that
planeflyer21 Posted March 22, 2013 Author Report Posted March 22, 2013 Moonclips brother: That pistol he's using is a Smith & Wesson 325 Thunder Ranch model, 4" barrel 6-shot, lightweight N-frame. They also make a 7-shot .357 Magnum that will use moonclips too. When I'm in practice (I'm out right now), I can utilize speedloaders faster than most shooters can reload magazines into a semi-auto pistol. The biggest disadvantage to revolvers is their assigned dexterity and having to use them with the other hand. Jon
EasyEJL Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 I have a speedloader for my Taurus 357, but it doesn't work with the crimson trace laser grips on. Part of my question mark on using that is that its a ported snub nose, so accuracy for fast shooting is a bit rough. I'll probably try it out first with that before seriously considering a new revolver
planeflyer21 Posted March 22, 2013 Author Report Posted March 22, 2013 No doubt. I've already been sourcing 30mm rounds. Jon
