texas30cal
What is required to get the job done as far as parts go? I am using a A2 stock right now. My LGS has a o.d. green ar-10/sr-25 magpul PRS new in box marked $237 on sale for 50% off, but I am unfamiliar with it and want to make sure it will work on my rifle. Robocop1051
The easiest part in the world to replace. It's just one bolt, under the butt pad, that secures the stock. Pull one stock off, replace with the other. No special tools or experience needed.
texas30cal
So my existing buffer tube will work?

Robocop1051
Any price under $200 is good. I think dealer cost is $160ish
texas30cal
Cool! That's even better doesn't sound like I can go wrong for 118.50! Thank's Robo. Edited May 11, 2013 by texas30cal
Zebra644
Just make sure you get the right stock for the right caliber. The charging handle will interfere if you have a .308 and buy a 5.56 stock. The check piece when its raised will not allow you to pull the charging handle if you mismatch. And yes if you have an A-2 stock you're good. 98Z5V
DO NOT run your A2 buttstock screw with the PRS - you'll either punch the longer A2 screw out the back of the stock, or kill the bumper on the end of the buffer. Run the shorter screw that comes with the PRS. You'll need to remove the 5/8" A2 spacer from the end of the receiver extension, too.
texas30cal
I got it on already, I used he short screw that came with the stock and removed the spacer but have not been able to go to the range yet.
