Looking for a piece of insulated glass.

Does anyone know where i can get a small piece of double insulated glass? I have an insulated cat house  that I want to add a window but I dont want to use single pane glass. Im thinking something like a small sliding basement window can be taken apart and converted to two windows.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

In all seriousness, I'd try the small sliding basement window thing - separate it into two windows, or just use one of them, once separated. 

It kinda depends on the size of the "cat" you're trying to contain...  <laughs> <lmao> <munch>

Your best bet will be a basement window from HD or one of the other home improvement centers.  The glass isn't just doubled but the air is evacuated from between them and some other gas, like argon, is pumped in.  That sealed airgap is what produces the insulating effect.  Without that, every time it got below freezing the interior of the glass would frost up.  Be careful dissasembling the store-bought window so you don't break the seal between the panes.  Your cats are lucky.

I guess I am crazy!!!  I have a heated 10' x 12' shed with windows and it is insulated. I have 3 cat towers and a video camera, so I can see in there.  The camera comes in handy when the Racoons come over to chow down on the cat food and I go out and mow them down with my Glock as they come out the cat door.  LOL!!!!!  God that is fun!!!!

Im in the city. No place for a shed in the parking lot. I put out enough food for the Racoons and the Opossum (Cooter) I prefer the furry animals to the other ones that give me problems almost daily....
