Since I am going the UBR route I know I need a CAR Buffer and Spring for the Armalite SASS. Do I need to spend the money on the Slash Heavy or  use the Fulton Armory standard CAR buffer and spring?

You need a DPMS LR308-length CAR buffer/spring. Approx length of the buffer is 1.5", and can come from slash or whatever company.

Just double checking that it will work with Armalite AR-10 / BCG and UBR?

It should. The armlite carbine buffer tube is longer but the UBR is standard CAR length - the buffer follows the tube length so it is reduced for a shorter CAR tube.

ok, I know the Slash is good stuff but I am only shooting surplus ammo and 168 FGMM, non supressed. I have yet to have issues with cycling or recoil.

Check with Bender on what he runs: IIRC he only uses the UBR units and knows his AR-10 platform builds. He's done many.

Get a heavy buffer. Works wonders on the recoil. It's when you hit 12oz that you run into trouble with cycling.

The UBR comes with the extension. I'd stick with an Armalite spring and Slash's heavy buffer. I use that set-up with one of my 16" carbine's (UBR, Armalite spring and CAR-10 XH buffer). She never even burps.....and recoil is outstanding. Feels almost like an AR-15.

Just an opinion..........for what it's worth.

I got the Slash Heavy Buffer in the mail and installed, the BCG now functions properly with an empty mag and with the bolt catch. I must say very nice craftmanship now wonder his products come so highly recomended.
